Meet the newest members of the Oceansgate team

Louise Creber joins the MBTC team as Knowledge Exchange Officer (KEO) working alongside Rob Watson (Director). She will act as an interface, collaborating and progressing a rich and deep knowledge transfer programme with the MBTC partners Plymouth University, University of Exeter, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the Marine Biological Association.

Louise joins us from AECOM (a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy).She is an experienced business development manager and bid writer with a demonstrated track record of delivering client focused programmes, event management & marketing campaigns.

Louise lives with her partner on the Barbican, has 3 daughters and enjoys running and boating.

She is passionate about Plymouth and it’s regeneration – her grandfather was leader of both Devon and Plymouth County Councils and Lord Mayor of Plymouth! She is genuinely excited to be part of an amazing and progressive team.

Jonny Prout joins the Oceansgate team as Business Relationship Manager, delivering an ERDF business support programme supporting Devon based SMEs. Find out more about the Oceansgate Meet the Expert Business Support Programme and how to access grant funding here.

Jonny has over 15 years’ experience working in the financial services sector working with SME’s to develop and support growth in their sector . Educated in the city, Jonny completed a BTEC International Diploma in Hospitality Business Management at City College and then followed the management program at Scottish and Newcastle in the hospitality sector. A return back to his home city signalled the start of his career with RBS/NatWest where he has supported clients and business’ with expert advice particularly in driving sales and service improvements. As a Relationship Manager, he has taken a leading role in change projects helping shape the digital future of NatWest Private Banking whilst developing strong working relationships with the wider business community. Often seen on the River Plym on his Kayak or Paddleboard, sport plays an active role outside of work. A season ticket holder at Plymouth Argyle with his two sons, he also volunteers and manages his team Drake FC and attempts to find time to improve his golfing skills.

Emily is taking the Oceansgate journey further

Emily Collacott has been instrumental in developing, launching and the successful delivery of the Oceansgate “Meet the Expert” Business Support Programme.  We are delighted to announce that Emily is taking up a new role with us as Oceansgate Project Coordinator.

“It’s been an amazing and rewarding journey delivering the Oceansgate “Meet the Expert Programme” over the last 18 months. Thank you to the Consultants that have supported the project and the businesses that have engaged and benefited from the support on offer.

I’m looking forward to progressing into a new, exciting and challenging role with an amazing team.  There is a huge hub of activity taking place within Plymouth and the Marine sector. We will be making more exciting Oceansgate announcements through our newsletters…….watch this space.”

Emily has over 20 years economic development experience working in both the private and public sector.  For the majority of her career she has supported inward investment and sector development activities attracting new business to the region, supporting existing and new businesses to grow whilst in her previous roles at the South West Regional Development Agency, Millfields Trust and most recently in Economic Development at Plymouth City Council.
